About Lilly

My journey to opening my own flower shop has always been inspired by my grandmother. While growing up and living with her, we planted many seeds and bulbs in front of her house- creating a beautiful mess. Those early days in the garden are memories I have cherished forever and are what led me to my career as a florist.

When I purchased my home in 2023, my biggest goal was to turn my property into my own beautiful mess. The creative couple who built my home inspired me to keep creating at 237 Sunset. The home and property was built to share the breathtaking view of the Adirondacks, while welcoming visitors with open arms and a handful of flowers.

When I began bringing my visions for my property to life, I knew that I wanted to spend my days at home creating, arranging flowers, and frolicking in the gardens. So in May 2025, I made the decision to take the leap into opening my own at home flower shop!

What fulfills me the most about my career is working with my community and creating something for others to enjoy and cherish. My goal is to spread kindness and make others feel loved through flowers.

Flowers aren’t meant to last forever- they help us remember to live in the moment and appreciate what you have every moment. Flowers keep me in the present, make me feel alive, and help me appreciate the beauty the earth gives us. I can’t wait to share this experience with you all!

I absolutely love to recycle and reuse all that I can; just a part of my creative personality I suppose! With that being said, I would kindly accept any old vases, containers, baskets, etc.; that you have lying around! In exchange I will give you 10% off your next order!

Why Lilly n' Lilac's will not be using FTD.

FTD is a floral wire service in the United States that is robbing you of your money. Overall, you are better off contacting your local florist directly to place an order. I encourage all my lovely customers to never use for example, Ava's Flowers, 1-800-Flowers, Teleflora & From You Flowers. Their goal is not to put a smile on your face and bring fresh aroma's through flowers to your home, but to take your money. All the money spent on these websites, they take 20% minimum from each order- most of the time much more than 20% PER order. Trying to get the florist to take as little as possible to fulfill an order. Therefor you think you are getting a $100 arrangement and you are most likely getting the minimum of a $50 arrangement.

The Garden:

During the growing season I will be using as many home-grown flowers in my arrangements as possible. Having a garden is easily a second job: but my goal here is to make "a beautiful mess" of my property with flowers. I plan to grow many varieties each year from fillers to focals. I can't wait to share the beauty of locally grown flowers with my loving community.
